Also the story is deeper than just military men fighting monsters and in no way the same as borderlands or Last of us lol you could also simplify any movie/show like saying Batman is the same thing as Black Panther just because theyāre both comic book heroes when we know thatās not true lol
The 11th episode of Sandman was 2 stand alone stories and it wouldāve been odd to release it at the same time as the rest of the season because it had nothing to do with the narrative that had just ended. A lot of Sandman is anthology-like, yet one more challenge for its adaptation. The first part with the cats is beautifully animated and voice-acted, even if the story is a bit odd. The Calliope story is a fine hour of television and definitely worth the watch. So glad it got renewed, even if we have to wait a couple of years.
Gears of War was a big deal in gaming circles, Grace. Trust me. It was Xbox's second biggest flagship title after Halo. (Let's hope this adaptation turns out better than that one.) The reason games like Gears and The Last of Us probably don't sell as well as their reputations suggest is that they're console exclusives. They don't have the same reach as multi-platform games.

I agree on all the Taylor Swift songs sounding the same. They are forgettable. The record with Shake It Off at least had a handful of standout songs (whether you like her music or not). And the new Beyonce album was all very sampled (:P) from so much and forgettable as well. Why are both of these held in such ridiculously high regards?

I have to say Grace your lack of being a gamer showed. Hype in the gaming world is not generated by top selling games but moreso by dedicated fanbase and longevity along with a story and characters people commit to. None of the games in the top 10 are really telling of the kind that would be movie kind of games. With movie level games you need a mix of critical acclaim and dedicated fanbase and longevity of the series or nostalgia tied to the series. I think Gears of War does work. And Gears sales are always going to be limited by the fact that it's an XBox exclusive game. Any exclusive game is going to cut their sales numbers which is why Borderlands can easily jump ahead of Gears.
Gears kind of defined a particular genre of games called the cover shooter. It's got a decent story and characters people root for so I think as a animated series I think it could do well. Movies are limited in their storytelling ability with a long running franchise.
Sad to hear you think Lindsay Lohan canāt make a comeback. I find it rude to write people off like that. You never know whatāll happenā¦. Maybe her Christmas movie wonāt do it, but surely itās possible for her to have a good comeback.
Hey Grace! I know youāre not into gaming but The Last of Us is MUCH more than just another apocalypse story. It is an expertly spun yarn that stands on its own with even some of the best narratives in movie and film.
